Haunt on Aster

The Haunt on Aster is a fun Halloween House in Sandy. It features an little walkthrough to enjoy all of their fun decoration over several distinct themes which I thought was fun. I will be honest, it is pretty much a Spirit Halloween showroom on someone's front lawn, but it was still super neat.

Quick Details:

Length: Meh… ~100 feet  or so.
Trail Type: Get out and see, with a short loop.
Difficulty: DR1. I have walked further for viewpoints.
Elevation Gain: NA
Restroom: No. You will need to find a gas station nearby.
Dogs? Dogs are allowed on public sidewalks, but I wouldn’t walk through the haunt with one. But, you can see most of it from the sidewalk.
Other Info: Free.

To Get Here:

Take i15 to 90th South and head east to 700 East, turn right. Go about 8 blocks and turn left on Sego Lily Drive. Take the first right on 730 East, then the first left on Tulip Dr. then the first right on Aster Ln. It will be the 2nd house on the left, just as the road starts to curve back to the east. But, honestly, you can't miss it.

The Trail:

Starting at the south end.

Wow, there is a lot going on here.

It seemed a little chaotic at first.

But still super fun!

Gigantic scarecrow.

More stuff.

Well this guy is super creepy.

More clowns.

The other side of the driveway.

Lots of skeletons.

More big ones. Where do they store all of this for the rest of the year?

Is that a dragon?

The walk through is open. You can see most of it from the sidewalk, but the walkthrough is fun and really connects the dots between the themed sections. At least it did for me.

Entrance.

Big spider above.

Web.

Pirates.

Dead men tell no tales.

Fun fact: This saying is super old. There is a book with that as a title dating back to 1898, and I even found some reference of it being way older than that. Fun.

Treasure.

Witches.

Potions and such.

Now I am starting to notice themed sections.

Archway.

Now we’re in like a dark forest section.

Skelly on a horse.

Giant scarecrow.

Then a freak show section.

Fun stuff.

Creepy.

Now I get what is happening here.

Looking back into it.

The Carnevil.

Work in progress, full display on Oct 31st.

I imagine they are like me, it keeps changing until I stop buying things hahaha.

Outside again.

Well that was fun! Like I said, it looks like they have pretty much everything  they offer at Spirit! haha. Once I started noticing the themes it seemed a lt less chaotic and more fun. There are a couple little jump scares, but nothing crazy. I imagine it would be okay for most kids as well. Lots of fun, 10 out of 10 bats.

As for difficulty, it mostly paved, with a short loop on hard packed earth and grass. DR1.

Dogs are allowed on city sidewalks, but I don’t think I would bring them through the haunt. So maybe have a friend to hold onto the leash and take turn going through it really quickly.
