The Larson Family Lights is a neat lightshow during Christmas, but they also do a Halloween show. Since Halloween is my favorite holiday, of course we decided to come check it out. They boast over 19,000 lights that are synched to music. It is a fun display of dancing lights.
Quick Details:
Length: NA Trail Type: Sit in your car and see. Difficulty: DR1, you don’t even need to get out of your car. Elevation Gain: NA Restroom: No, you will need to find a nearby gas station. Dogs? Dogs are allowed on city sidewalks, leashed. Or in your own car of course. Other Info: Nightly 5 PM - 10 PM. Tune in to 87.9 FM to hear the music. And please, turn off your headlights while enjoying the show.
To Get Here:
Take i15 to 7200 South and head west for about 2.5 miles. Turn left on 2310 West, which is just past Redwood Road. Go about a 10th of a mile and you definitely won't miss it on the left, where there is a half circle and the road curves back to the west.
2305 w 7095 s, West Jordan, UT.
The Adventure:
We could see it almost as soon as we turned onto 2310 West, wow it is impressive.
It’s pretty neat! I particularly light the tombstones.
Woo!
The bats on the roof are fun too.
Quick video. I love how the various faces sing to the music.
Fun.
Woo, bright! I hope the neighbors have good window coverings.
Fun.
With more spooky stuff to the left.
I like the spooky tree on the left too.
Pretty.
Another video. My only gripe is that they were not playing Halloweeny songs really. Just pop songs, at least while we were here. We didn’t stay super long though, honestly just the 2 songs haha. but still.
I wanted to go over and see the other side of it, but more people showed up and made getting over there difficult, so maybe I will come back
Afterwards we went to see if the nearby Lights on Arthur did a Halloween show, and well, if they do it wasn’t on yet.
Anyway, the Larson Family did an amazing job synching the characters lips to the singing. It is really neat to see! I also like how easy it is to get to hear the music just tuning to the radio station. I know, that technology has been around forever but still haha. Its a super bright display and is full of great Halloween characters. This was super fun. 10 bats!
Gardner Village is a little strip mall in West Jordan that features a lot of old buildings. They do a couple fun events throughout the year but my favorite is Witchfest, only because Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday haha. But they go full out decorating the village and well, it is extra fun with all of the old buildings.
Quick Details:

Yes, leashed, but not in any buildings and they ask that they do not interfere with the displays or other guests. But, it’s pretty crowded so I cannot imagine they would have a good time. Dogs are technically allowed, leashed, but not in any stores and they ask that they be under control and at your side at all times. Also, I can’t imagine it would be good for them with the crowd. So personally, I would leave them at home.
