Return To Cascade Springs

After a beautiful hike to Stewart Cascades and having lunch we then drove over to Cascade Springs. We’ve done this before, and I really enjoyed it last time.

Just before the springs is the Deer Creek Lookout. Really pretty.

Quick panoramic. Testing out a larger size on here, we’ll see how it looks.

Last time we were here we parked at the upper parking lot. This time we did the lower lot.

Which got us a pretty view of the creek below. I believe this is Deer Creek, or at least a stream that feeds it.

Wow! I love how this one turned out! The smokiness of the water, and the splashes of color from the flowers. Simply stunning!

Another good one. The cascade under the lower bridge is one of my favorite spots, and it really shows you just how much water is coming out of the springs.

And the view from the upper bridge. You notice the water kind of goes from nothing to a pretty rapid creek? The springs are all up there below the tree line.

And the view from the trail above the springs.

Back around the loop. This trail consists of 3 crisscrossing loops, so now I am coming down and going the other way.

This is a really pretty little trail. It is completely paved and rather easy to do. The guide at the beginning suggests it will take 45 minutes to do the whole thing but we probably did it in a half hour or so. It is pretty crowded though, and for that I am taking a squirrel this time. Last time it got 10, this time it gets 9. Still a good little trail.
