Holiday Lights: Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery

The Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery in West Jordan has a beautifully lighted tree every year. You can see it from quite a distance it so lit up. We usually make a point of doing a quick stop at it when we are in the area, but I have never shared it before. Since I am on a holiday theme kick this year I figured why not.

Quick Details:

Length: NA
Trail Type: Get out and see.
Difficulty: DR1, get out and see, or stay in your car even.
Elevation Gain: NA
Restroom: No. There are several gas stations along Redwood Road though.
Dogs? If you stay in the car, I don’t see why not.
Other Info:

To Get Here:

Take i215 to the Redwood Road exit and head south. go about 8/10ths of a mile and it will be on the right/west side of the road. at 6500 South Redwood

The Trail:

Fun giant ornaments.

The mortuary.

The big lighted tree. It is almost as cool as the Tree of Light in Draper.

I am pretty sure they lit up a different tree this year. I think they previously lit one of the ones that is behind us.

Again.

The mortuary.

The cemetery with the large ornaments. We have not really explored this cemetery yet. A quick search did not yield any notable people buried here.

The tree again.

As usual, just a quick stop. I even got out of the car this time haha. It's just a tree that they have taken the time to really light up, but it is pretty. 7 out of 10 squirrels.

As for difficulty, it really is just get out and see, or even stay in your car to see, DR1.

Dogs, again, so long as you stay in the car, I don't see why not.
